Beverly J. Collins

Beverly J. Collins, 84, of Havana, passed away at her home at 1:35 p.m., on Friday, October 2. She was born November 9, 1935, in Marbletown, to Jewell and Lois (Sherrill) Edwards. She married Kirk H. Collins on October 1, 1955, in San Jose. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1997. Mrs. Collins is survived by two children: Shellie (Doug) Hagney, of Havana, and Michael “Skip” (Jenny) Collins, of Arkansas, as well as two grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister: Pattie France of Havana, and step-sister: Dorothy Armbrust, also of Havana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Bill Edwards, sister, Betty Kirby and one son Billie Kirk Collins. Mrs. Collins was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. She enjoyed bowling. Most recently, she had worked for County Market, in Havana, as a cashier, until her retirement in 2014. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
