Emma J. Mallicoat, 86, of Cuba passed away peacefully Thursday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at her home. Born an only child on August 24, 1933 in Tallula to the late Steve & Mary (Holtzclaw) Jones, she married Pert Mallicoat on March 4, 1971, he preceded her in death in 1988. Her daughter Rita also preceded her in death in 2016. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Logue (Don Stambaugh) of Cuba, Deb (Gary) Bohler of Canton, Kate Starcevich (Pete Petrakis) of Liverpool, and Jody (Larry) Saint-Miller of St. David; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and her friend, and companion of 30 years, Richard Hedden. Emma was a fun loving spirited person who loved her family and friends whole-heartedly. She worked as a factory worker for many years, as well as a bartender and homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, riding motorcycles and traveled many miles in a semi with Rich. She was a past member of Fulton County ABATE and American Legion Auxiliary. Cremation has been accorded per her wishes, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to her family, or a charity of the donor’s choice in her memory.
