Elizabeth C. “Betty” Baker

Elizabeth C. “Betty” Baker, 92, of Kilbourne, passed away at 11:06 a.m., March 15, at Unitly Point Health Pekin, Illinois. Betty was born September 18, 1927 to Elise (Hoerrle) and Jacob “Pop” Schilling and was married December 12, 1947 to Harold V. Baker. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2018. Surviving Betty are daughters: Bonnie Friend, Janice (David) Sizemore and Rosalyn (Steve) Bone; grandchildren: Anthony (Rosenna) Friend, Rod Friend, Jenny Nall, Julia (Monte) Davis, Robert, Ryan, Nathaniel and Kaitlyn Bone; great-granddaughters: Isabelle, Angelique, Justine and Jasmine Friend and Harmonie Davis; brother, Rudy Schilling and son-in-law, Danny Nall. Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold, daughter, Virginia Nall, son-in-law David Friend and brother, John Schilling. Mrs. Baker retired as Kilbourne Postmistress with the US Postal Service. She served as 30 year leader of the Kilbourne Ramblers and was a 4-H Building Supervisor for many years. She served on various Kilbourne celebrations. Along with her husband, they helped and supported many friends and family. Due to recent guidance from IDPH and the Illinois Governor’s Office, all services will be held privately. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
