Salvation Army adjusts to pandemic

The Salvation Army in Canton, serving Fulton County, has adjusted operations due to Covid-19 or the new coronavirus. The following changes have been made:

–Youth program including Monday Night Reading at Oaklawn Apartments and Tuesday night youth activities will be suspended until at least April 1.

–The Spring Break Mini Day camp is cancelled. 

–Family Fun night on March 27 is cancelled

–Messy Church on March 29 is cancelled. 

–Adult programing including Wednesday Night Bible Study, Thursday Disaster Service team meeting, Friday Coffee and Craft, Ladies night out, etc., will be suspended until further notice.

–Worship services will not be held in person but will be held via Facebook Live at 11 a.m. on Sundays and 10 a.m. on Wednesdays.

–The office will be open for emergency appointments only Tuesday through Friday. Individuals may make appointments by calling 647-0732 or by contacting them through their website or Facebook Messenger.

–Food pantry activities will still take place on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. but will be “grab and go.” Anyone needing food may come and receive an emergency supply during those times. Should a need arise outside of those times, contact the office and arrangements will be made. 

–TSA Connect Food Pantry Resource Day on March 27 is cancelled. It will be rescheduled for a later date once they are able to do so.
