Delbert Wayne Parsons, 56, of Havana, passed away at his home at 6:18 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. He was born January 13, 1963, in Irontown, Missouri, to Gary and Barbara (Warren) Parsons. He married Christine Kane on May 25, 2019, in Havana. She survives. Mr. Parsons is survived by his parents, of Havana, wife, Christine, of Havana; three sons: Eric (Shavonne) Parsons and Josh Parsons, both of Havana, Nick (Lori) Parsons, of Peoria; two step-daughters: Madaline and Olivia Kane; as well as four grandchildren: Savannah, Brayden, Kennedy and Adelyn. Also surviving are two sisters: Gail Specketer and Christina Boyer, both of Havana. Mr. Parsons enjoyed drag racing and both built and drove his own cars. He had worked at Ace Hardware in Havana for 18 years and then for Cargill in Havana for the next 21 years. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 17. Chris Bishop will officiate.
