Betty Jean Smith

Betty Jean Smith, 63, of Havana, passed away at Havana Health Care at 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. She was born September 20, 1956, in Havana, to Roy Grubbs and Bonny Smith. Ms. Smith is survived by four brothers: Dale Grubbs, James Grubbs, Chris Grubbs and Tony Pellhum; two sisters: Debbie Hannum and Lisa Gilmore; and aunts, Fay Berg, Sally Rilea and Bessie Grubbs, as well as one uncle, Marvin Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one daughter, Gypsy Rose, one brother, Lee Hannum as well as two aunts and one uncle. Ms. Smith loved fishing and spending time with her cats, horses and other animals. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 12.
