Dana Marie Sturgeon, 64, of Kilbourne, passed away at her home at 3:01 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. She was born July 13, 1954, in Danville, to Joseph and Marie (Wielgorka) Morris. She married Charles Sturgeon on July 29, 1972, in Danville. He survives. Mrs. Sturgeon is survived by her husband, Charles, of Kilbourne; one son Chad (Audra) Sturgeon of Havana; two grandchildren: Breanna Marie Sturgeon and Austin Tyler Lawrence; sister Jenny Rodman of Danville and sister-in-law Lynette Morris of Fithian. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Luci, Dawn (husband – Cory) , David and Brittany (husband – Jeremy), as well as nine great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: John Daniel Morris. Mrs. Sturgeon was a Certified Reflexologist, working out of her home. She had also worked at ALCO in Havana and retired from the Mason County Health Department. She loved working in her garden, raising flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Havana. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday, July 8. Graveside services will be held at Kilbourne Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., following visitation. Rev. Daniel Swihart will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to 1st Baptist Church in Havana.
