Myrl Dean Daniels

Myrl Dean Daniels, 84, of Kilbourne, passed away at Heritage Health in Springfield at 7:10 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born July 10, 1934 in Glasgow to Joseph and Mary (Noonan) Daniels. He married Marion Kiernan on December 5, 1953. She preceded him in death on July 13, 1954. He married Beverley L. Robison on October 29, 1955 at the Kilbourne Baptist Church. She survives. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Beverley, of Kilbourne; two children: Pamalia L. Stout of Easton and Michael D. Daniels of Springfield; granddaughter, LeAnn (Matthew) Doerr of O’Fallon, MO; two great-grandsons: Alec and Zachary, both of O’Fallon, MO, as well as two sisters: Virginia “Jean” (Ernest) Bliesners of Springfield and Ruth (Charles) Copples of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion, parents, seven brothers: John, Ernest, William “Harvey”, George T., Earl, Frederick and Don Daniels, as well as one sister, Grace Budd. Mr. Daniels was a 1953 graduate of Winchester High School. He worked in Springfield for The Baker Manufacturing Co, Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Co., Illinois Terminal Railroad Co., Certified Equipment Manufacturing Co., and Chicago & Illinois Midland Railroad, retiring on November 1, 1996. He was a member of UTU since 1959. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, January 9 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Chaplin Jan Costello will officiate.
