Daniel James Matson

Daniel James Matson, 62, of Havana, formerly of Chicago, and Glendale, California, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield at 4:53 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was born May 1, 1956, in Colorado, to Gilbert and Elvira (Hodek) Matson. Mr. Matson is survived by his husband and partner of 25 years, Mark McGrew of Havana; one sister, DiAnn Matson of Ottawa, niece Vikki Kitchen and nephew Jeremiah Matson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Matson worked in the television industry for 40 years. Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
