Harry L. Lynn, 90, of Easton, passed away at 3:53 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield on Thursday, November 1, 2018. He was born September 14, 1928, in Crane Creek Township, Mason County, to Jesse “Scotty” and Louise (Koch) Lynn. He married Mary “Meze” Louisa Bale on August 24, 1947 in Havana. She survives. Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Mary, of Easton, son, Gary (Darla) Lynn of Franklin, Ohio, daughter-in-law Bev Lynn of Easton; grandchildren: Jennifer (Rick) Crouse of Bettendorf, IA, Mary Beth (Jared) Hoss of Fishers, IN, Brittany Lynn of San Antonio, TX and Mallory Lynn of Kettering, OH as well as five great-grandchildren: Peyton, Lincoln, Garet, Rowan and Rylyn. Also surviving is one sister, Shirley Barton of Mason City. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry Lynn and five siblings: Jr. Lynn, Homer Lynn, Wayne Lynn, Ruth Sisson and Mary Jeanette “Bea” Cochran. Mr. Lynn was a former member of the Easton Optimist Club, Easton School Board and had served as Township Road Commissioner for Crane Creek Township. He had farmed in the Easton Bottoms for his whole life. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 3 until 5 p.m. on Monday, November 5. A funeral ceremony will be held at 5 p.m., led by Nesa Brauer. Private burial will be held at Easton Cemetery at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to Easton Fire Department.
