Maxine E. Wallbaum, 88, of Havana passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9:27 p.m. at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on November 13, 1929 in Peoria to Carl and Edith (Umland) Beckman. She married Harold Wallbaum on November 28, 1948 in Havana. Maxine is survived by her children John Wallbaum of Havana and Phyllis Wallbaum of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, brother Nelson Beckman, and son Alan. Maxine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she played the organ for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Aid serving in every possible way, and was also a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, the Mason County Farm Bureau, and the Mason County Pork Producers. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26 at 11 a.m., Pastor Kevin Wendorf will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
