Linda Kay Behrends

Linda Kay Behrends, 73, of Havana, passed away at Havana Health Care at 6:16 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was born September 14, 1944 in Vincennes, IN, to Boyd and Cliffa (Fielden) Sizemore. She married Robert W. Behrends at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on June 14, 1969. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2012. Mrs. Behrends is survived by one son, William “Bill” (Amber) Behrends of Savoy; two grandchildren: Maya and Max Behrends, of Savoy; one brother, Gene (Helen) Sizemore of Arlington, VA and one sister, Carol (Vern) Yeter of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, James and Jerry Sizemore. Mrs. Behrends was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. She taught in the Havana School District for 35 years. She was later a member of the Mason County Retired Teachers and Havana Women’s Club. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Visitation will be held, immediately prior to the services at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Kevin Wendorf will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Mason District Hospital, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
