Cole L. Miller

Cole L. Miller, 16, of Cuba, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2018 at his home. He was born November 2, 2001 in Peoria, the son of Landon and Tricia (Haseley) Miller. Survivors include his parents, one brother, Luke Miller, maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Haseley of Niantic, paternal grandparents, Eldon and Charlene Miller of Cuba, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, June Miller, and his great grandparents. Cole was a sophomore at Cuba High School where he was active in football, baseball, and band, and was also an honor student. He was a member of the Smithfield Up and Coming 4-H group where he showed cattle, and was a member of the Cuba FFA. He enjoyed playing the guitar, saxophone, and piano. He loved working on the family farm, along with taking care of cattle, fishing, hunting, riding 4 wheelers, snow mobiles, and driving his pickup truck. Most of all he loved hanging out with his brother Luke. A private family funeral service will be held and burial will be in Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smithfield Up and Coming 4-H group, the Cuba FFA, or the Cuba High School Athletic Department.     We wanted to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Cole’s life will be measured not by how long he lived but by his love for others, his loving family, the many contributions he made and the many lives he touched.
