Carole A. Palmer, 84, of Havana passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born on April 19, 1934 to George and Helen Tarvin. She married Harold Palmer on April 28, 1951 in Sikeston, MO. Harold preceded her in death on December 1, 2011. Carole is survived by their five children, Elizabeth (Brian) Bohannon of Lewistown, Peggy (David) Naff of Mahomet, Dianne Palmer of Egg Harbor, WI, and Karen (Michael) Snedeker and Randall (Becky) Palmer, both of Havana. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nephews, her beloved dog, General, sister Paula DeWees, and brothers Larry and Ted Tarvin. Carole enjoyed her partnership with Shelby Windsor as they operated Pied Piper Nursery School for many years. She was very creative with floral arranging and owned and operated Floral Design in Havana for several years. She was a member, Sunday school teacher, and VBS teacher for many years at Havana Church of Christ. For the last seven years she was a faithful member of Isabel Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11 a.m., with a visitation to be held one hour prior. Rev. Steve Hoover will preside. Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial donations can be left in Carole’s name to Isabel Church. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
