Cathy S. Towery

Cathy S. Towery, 58, of Havana, passed away at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria at 12:22 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born August 15, 1959, in Havana to Willard and Vivian (Bridges) Towery. Ms. Towery is survived by her mother, Vivian Towery, of Havana; seven brothers and sisters: Vicky (Dennis) Reynolds, Steve (Annette) Towery, Chris (Scott) Guilliams, Rob (Cari) Towery, Tony (Dawn) Towery, Autumn (Albert) Hutton, and Wendell Towery; sixteen nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Finally, she is survived by one spoiled Yorkie named Deja, from her family’s Yorkie Brigade. She was preceded in death by her father. Ms. Towery enjoyed karaoke and performing in her family band. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial luncheon was held at VFW Post #6408, in Havana, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Memorial contributions may be made to her mother. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
