Joyce E. Lindsey

Joyce E. Lindsey, 86, of Canton, passed away March 5, 2018 in Canton. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Havana, to Loran and M. Grace (Gilbert) Scott. They preceded her in death. Joyce married Keith E. Lindsey on June 22, 1952 in Havana. He survives. Also surviving is her daughter Debra (Joe) Maxwell of Mapelton, two grandchildren, Jeff Maxwell (Carmen) of Normal, Scott (Anne Nelson) Maxwell of Washington, five great grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, Brock, Blake, and Bodey, and one great great grandchild, Kassidy, who shares a birthday with Joyce. Also preceding her in death are two brothers Gilbert and Thomas, and one sister, Hilda Ford. Joyce was a member of the Church of Christ in Havana. She loved flower gardening and solved every crossword puzzle in the Journal Star every day. Joyce was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all five generations of her family. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Memorials may be made out to the Fulton County Humane Society.
