Deann Smith

Deann (Dee) Smith, 44, of Havana passed away on February 19, 2018 at 2:02 p.m. at OSF St. Francis in Peoria. She was born to David and Eileen (Flaharty) Long on November 30, 1973 in Canton. Deann is survived by her mother, four children; Alex Combites of Bloomington, Brian (Sarah) Combites of Quantico, Virginia, Adam (Stephanie) Combites of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Hannah Smith (Dakotah Craig) of Havana, and three grandchildren; Ella and Brylee Combites of Quantico, Virginia, and Atticus Combites of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Long of Peoria, uncle Jim McDonald of Port Charlotte, Florida, nephews Jareth and Jack, and niece Riley. She is preceded in death by her father and two aunts, Sandy and Sherry. Deann was a licensed cosmetologist. She worked at Kracker’s Korner as a waitress for 18 years and also at Hoerr Landscaping. She enjoyed shopping and reading, and was also known as an E-Bay Queen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Havana Church of Christ at 1 p.m. Pastor Bill Boyce will officiate.
