Larry Wilson Miller

Larry Wilson Miller, 79, of Lewistown, passed away at his home at 2:09 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. He was born September 1, 1938, in Havana, to Wilson and Laura (Post) Miller. He married C. Faye Miller on April 2, 1977 in Kilbourne. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2017. Mr. Miller is survived by two children: Rita Gerber and Eric Miller, both of Lewistown; four step-children: Barbara (Harold) Lee of Farmington, Loy E. “Jr.” (longtime companion, Nancy Elliott) Bridges, of Havana, Karen (Daniel) Holmes, of Havana, Michael Bridges of Havana; granddaughter, Nicky Gerber of Lewistown; nine step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Hancil (Wilma) Miller and Arlan (Donna) Miller, both of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Faye. Mr. Miller served in the US Air Force Reserves. He was a lifelong farmer and had worked as a coal miner for Buckheart Coal Mine in Canton for many years. He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, American Legion Post #1 in Lewistown, Masonic Lodge #534 in Cuba and Rebekah Lodge #566 in Lewistown. He enjoyed attending Thresherman’s reunions, traveling to Florida with his wife and spending time drinking coffee with his friends. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 12:30 until 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Graveside services will follow the visitation, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday. Rev. Doug Krukewitt will officiate.
