Eva Belle Rossman (nee Kramer) passed away peacefully on November 16 in Santa Rosa, CA. Eva was born to Paul and Lena Kramer in Bath on July 31, 1922 and lived in Havana, Joliet and Homewood. She recently lived in Santa Rosa, CA near her family. She worked for many years at Interlake Steel (later Acme Steel). Eva is survived by Michael Rossman of Sebastopol, CA (son), Candace Mackey (granddaughter) of Santa Rosa, CA and Fisher Mackey (great grandson) of Santa Rosa, CA. Eva is preceded in death by Roger Rossman (husband), James (brother), Todd (brother), Lyle (brother), Louella (sister), Nena (sister) and Mabel (sister). Eva was an accomplished artist, painting in oils for many years. Besides her family, painting was her passion and her paintings ran from familiar scenes of favorite areas and subjects to still life and portraits. She and her family attended the Lutheran Church in Homewood as a child. She was a consistent attendee at First Presbyterian Church in Homewood and served in administrative and charitable capacities. She supported many organizations such as Greenwood School, public television, American Cancer Society and the church. A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana on December 8 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Kevin Wendorf will perform the service. A Memorial Service will be held on December 9 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Homewood with a get together following. Pastor Nancy Jo Dederer will perform the service. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
