Judith M. “Judy” Yaeger

Judith M. “Judy” Yaeger, 73, of Havana, passed away at 8:58 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born December 10, 1943 in Chandlerville, IL to Russell and Frances (Hopping) Pilger. She married Stephen Yaeger on December 11, 1965. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2003. Mrs. Yaeger is survived by three sons: Steven (Carol) Yaeger of Springfield, John (Melissa) Yaeger of Cabot, Arkansas, James (Brenda) Yaeger of Canton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are one sister: Clara Mae Hilberer of Springfield; four brothers: William Pilger of Ipava, Russell Pilger Jr. of Peoria, Robert Pilger of Browning and Steven Pilger of Havana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Violet Powell and brother-in-law, Earl Hilberer. Mrs. Yaeger was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. She worked for Weddle’s IGA, Atwood, Hornsby’s, Alco and Dana Victor in Havana. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Kevin Wendorf will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or her family. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
