Dorothy Wrestler

Dorothy Berniece Krider Wrestler 93, of Peoria, died at home March 28, 2016.
She was born February 22, 1923 in Lewistown to Bruce and Winifred Krider, and married Frank Wrestler in 1940.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis and Steven (Janet) Wrestler and a daughter, Linda; her grandchildren Ethan Ferrari and Lisa Woiwode, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and her son-in-law Wesley Bantz.
Preceding her in death were her husband, daughter Rose Bantz, grandson Steven Bantz, four sisters, and two brothers.
Dorothy had many adventures during her life – some of them were riding an elephant, visiting komodo dragons in Singapore, voyaging in a hot air balloon, cuddling a mountain lion, and rafting the Colorado River. She loved the wind on her face as she skied in Telluride every winter for thirty years. But she loved being home best, where she enjoyed gardening and especially reading. Dorothy was a loving, intelligent, and gentle being.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 1, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with Pastor Danny Caulkins officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Cemetery in Fulton County, near Enion.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
