Carol Ann Ballard

Carol Ann Ballard, 71, of Kilbourne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 8:25 a.m. at her home. She was born September 6, 1944 in Havana. She married Marvin Ballard on June 4, 1961 and he preceded her in death.
Carol was retired from the medical field in nursing. She always had an open door for all. She saw no one left hungry and always assisted anyone in need in whatever way that she could.
She is survived by her four children; two daughters, Marvet Ballard and Donna Mae Ballard, two sons, Duane Ballard and Randy (Joyce) Ballard all of Kilbourne; five grandchildren, Jacob (Tara) Ballard of Springfield, Kassandra (Brad) Rickman of Kilbourne, Randy Janae (Dalton) Ballard of Mason City, Krysta Ballard of Kilbourne and Marvin Ballard of Oklahoma, one great grandchild Sophia. Also surviving are four sisters: Kathy Sinclair (Gary) Andrews of West Plaines, MO, Jana and Lana of Illinois and Judy of Havana; three brothers: Randy Fairow of Havana, Marty Sinclair and Steve Sinclair, both of West Plaines, MO as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, grandson, Joshua Lascelles, nephew, Floyd Andrews, sister, Jeanie Falwell, parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1st Assembly of God Church in Havana, where she has been a member for over 25 years, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Rev. Paul Homan will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Kilbourne Cemetery followed by a dinner at Kilbourne Community Center.
