Michael Pazara

Michael H. Pazara passed away peacefully at home in the evening of March 12, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born on May 8, 1944 to John and Dixie (Fletcher) Pazara in Peoria, Illinois. He married Sherilyn Campbell on February 6, 1965 at Astoria Christian Church and they lived together in Havana for 51 years. She survives. He is also survived by their children, John Mitchell (Teresa) Pazara of Key West, Florida and Helen Noelle Pazara of Nashville, Tennessee and his brother, Tim (Linda) Pazara of Channahon, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. 
Mike was a Gold Card member of the Laborer’s Local #231 – Pekin and retired in 2000 after 34 years of service. He owned and operated Mike’s Liquor Cabinet in Havana for 9 years. He enjoyed any and all outdoors activities and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was a devoted husband and father. His paternal grandparents were immigrants from Lithuania and Ukraine and he was very proud of his heritage. 
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18 at the Church of Christ in Havana. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Cremation has been accorded and there will be no burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners’ Childrens Hospital, St Jude Midwest Research Affiliate, or the Havana Church of Christ.
