Elizabeth Huber

Elizabeth L. Huber, 91, a resident of Timber Creek Assisted Living, formerly of Latham, passed away at 5:33 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 13, 1924 in Mason County, the daughter of Lotus and Lora Robinson Hawks.  She married Eldon “Doc” Huber on August 17, 1950 and he passed away on January 8, 2015.
Liz is survived by two nieces: Karen (Rick) Hamm of Rome IL, and Brenda (Mike) McCuskey of Lacon, IL, and seven great nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys Mansfield and Fern Brownell; brother James “Pete” Hawks; and three nephews, Stuart Miller, Nick Hawks, and Bobby Huber.
Following her graduation from Easton Community High School in 1942 she attended Brown’s Business College in Peoria.  She was employed by several businesses in Latham, Potter and Rau Implement Co, Latham Bank, and Arden Potter Insurance.Doc and Liz made many special friends boating and riding the “trike”.
Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date.
