She was born March 25, 1953 in Winona, MN, the daughter of Eldon and Mary Winnifred (Krage) Schramm. She married Robert Clayton Wright on June 9, 1973 at the Winona Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Clayton Wright.
After graduating from Olivet Nazarene University, Pat taught elementary and high school music in the Bushnell-Prairie City and Cuba School Districts, maintaining a lifelong membership in the Phi Delta Lambda International Honor Society. She was a highly active member of the Smithfield Church of the Nazarene for 38 years, serving at various points as choir director, worship leader, NYI director, Sunday school superintendent, VBS director, and organizer of many other activities for children and teenagers, whom she loved. She was an avid reader, a writer of choral arrangements, skits, and plays, and a performer in local ensembles. Her beautiful soprano voice was often heard in local church services, weddings, funerals, and as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah.
A memorial service will held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Smithfield Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Dean Potts officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba, and also one hour prior to services at the church. Interment of ashes will be in Baughman Cemetery.
